THE FUTURE IS

SHINING THE SPOTLIGHT
THE LCG IS RECRUITING! We want individuals between the ages of 17-22 to train and pay to act as CONFLICT RESOLUTION AMBASSADORS in Larimer. Candidates must be willing to serve the community and model positive behavior at all times. We will train successful candidates to identify and de-escalate non-violent issues amongst school-aged children. The position requires strong communication skills, an aptitude for conflict resolution, and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations. Those selected will receive a monthly stipend. The work environment will focus primarily on the new and redeveloped outdoor spaces in Larimer where children play and gather. If you are or know someone with the capacity to mentor children and the desire to make a difference in the community, contact Malik Morris at 412-441-1476 or email@example.com.
The Larimer Consensus Group, in collaboration with The Jazz Workshop, Inc. Is presenting a jazz concert series every Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:00 in August 2021. The music will be held at the Village Green Amphitheater on the corner of Larimer Avenue and Mayflower Street.
This series is an awesome way to celebrate all of the improvements that have been occurring in the area. Jazz, which is “Social Music”, is a wonderful way to bring members of the community together to enjoy live quality entertainment within the proximity of their own neighborhood, without having to travel long distances. Bring the family and come on out to enjoy the sounds of jazz right in your own community!
Each year, the Housing Opportunity Fund dedicates $10 million in City of Pittsburgh tax dollars to support affordable housing initiatives and programs. They want to hear from you on how these programs can best address the needs in your community. Your responses to this survey will help guide how the next $10 million of HOF funds will be spent in 2022. Go online to www.tinyurl.com/hof2022 or call 412.447.7513 to make your voice heard!
